All states need to use facial recognition for everyone who is arrested, especially illegal aliens and individuals in the US on a Visa. Many illegals in the US use fraud, multiple identities, and fake identification cards. All people entering the US should be required to go through a facial recognition camera so we can identify them when necessary.
Facial-recognition technology might be regarded as the soul's window cleaner — at least by state officials nationwide who are increasingly using it to catch identity thieves and other fraudsters trying to get driver's licenses or other official identities. England and other countries use facial recognition in their major cities, mass transit sites, major sporting events, and airports to enhance security. New York this year became one of more than 30 states to deploy the controversial technology at its Department of Motor Vehicles. Gov. David A. Paterson will brief reporters Tuesday on hundreds of cases the state is prosecuting as a result — including at least one that officials will tout as a major criminal apprehension. New York officials would not comment prior to the briefing, but the Empire State is just the latest in a long line to find that facial recognition can be a powerful tool to unmask identity thieves and other impostors. Facial-recognition software automatically examines digital photographs, comparing the unique underlying structures of the face across different images — flagging suspicious matches. Officials in Indiana, who started using the technology in November 2008, say they are finding less than half as many fraud cases this year as they did last. "It's a real deterrent," said Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles Deputy Commissioner Dennis Rosebrough. Historically, he said, the state had a reputation as an easy place to fraudulently obtain a driver's license or non-driver ID. The Indianapolis Star newspaper once referred to the bureau as "A hotbed of fraud." BMV Spokesman Graig Lubsen told The Washington Times that the bureau had investigated 2,200 cases of suspected fraud in 2009, but only 451 as of the beginning of July this year. "The word is out on the street," added Mr. Rosebrough, "that it is now very difficult to get a fraudulent ID in Indiana." Among the cases that helped scotch the state's reputation as an "easy mark," he said, was that of William Sherman Smith, known as "Big Daddy." Earlier this year, Mr. Smith pleaded guilty to federal charges of using false identification and counterfeit checks. According to Mr. Rosebrough, Mr. Smith had ID documents in 149 different names and had engaged in check-cashing and other fraud to the tune of more than $250,000. Let's use technology to identify the criminals and terrorists. -

The below 10 facts about crime across America is related to our unsecured borders for over 30 years. The drug cartels and criminals are now running rampant across the United States.
Many Americans are already painfully aware that violent crime is experiencing a massive upsurge in the United States. As the U.S. economy has tanked and as unemployment has skyrocketed and the illegal alien issue has not been addressed, many Americans have found themselves becoming increasingly desperate. Hard economic times usually lead to an increase in crime, but what is happening across the U.S. now is absolutely stunning. Mexican drug gangs are running unchecked across America. In fact, there are many communities in the United States where it is simply not safe to go out at night anymore--parts of Washington, DC, Chicago, New York, and even small towns across the U.S. Millions of Americans find themselves prisoners in their own homes as they lock themselves in their houses in an attempt to keep the crime out. The truth is that it is really hard to live the American Dream when there is a raging crime wave going on right outside your door. The truly frightening thing is that crime is almost certainly going to get even worse as economic conditions continue to deteriorate and the government allows our borders to be unsecured. The following are ten facts about crime in the United States that will blow your mind.... #1) The city of Detroit , Michigan literally looks like a war zone and violent crime is thriving. So far this year in Detroit , car thefts are up 83%, robberies are up 50%, burglaries are up 20% and property destruction is up 42%. There has been a white flight and the liberal Democrats who run the city are not doing their job. #2) Lawmakers in Illinois say that violence has become so rampant in Chicago that the National Guard needs to be sent in. In just one night last week seven people were killed and 18 were wounded - mostly by gunfire. In fact, there have already been 113 murders in Chicago this year. Chicago is a city that welcomes illegals. #3) The city of Phoenix , Arizona has become the car theft capital of the world as millions of illegal aliens who can't get work have found that stealing cars can be very profitable indeed. This is why the Governor signed legislation to crack down on illegal aliens. #4) There are approximately 12 million crimes committed in the United States every single year. That is by far the worst in the world. No other nation has more than about 6 million reported crimes per year. Crime from drugs account for over 50%. #5) In New York City, the number of homicides in the first quarter of the year had shot up by approximately 22 percent compared with 2009. Do you miss Rudy yet? #6) U.S. prisons are already bursting at the seams. As you read this, there are over 2.2 million people in prison in the United States . In fact, America leads the world in the number of prisoners and in the percentage of the population in prison. The United States has 5% of the world's population, but 25% of the world's incarcerated population. The number of illegal aliens and drug offenders account for 60%. #7) U.S. law enforcement authorities claim that there are now over 1 million members of criminal gangs inside the country. These 1 million gang members are responsible for up to 80% of the crimes committed in the United States each year. This is a direct result of unsecured borders and allowing the criminals from Mexico to push drugs all across America. #8) There are over 100,000 rapes in the United States every single year. That is the highest number for any of the countries in the United Nations. This is not surprising when you have so many gang members in just about every community due to our unsecured borders. #9) According to USA Today, 58% of state and local law enforcement agencies in the United States reported that violent criminal gangs were active in their areas in 2008. That was up from 45% in 2004. So why do the local and state police agencies refuse to work with ICE and other federal law enforcement agencies? Is it called liberal politics? #10) Every year, one out of every five people is a victim of a crime in the United States. No other nation on earth has a rate that is higher. We cannot continue to allow this to happen. The number one job of any U.S. President is to protect the nation and its citizens-----Obama get a "F" in security. -

Another person in Montgomery County is killed by an illegal alien gang member. Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division have been investigating the death of 15-year-old Dennys Alfredo Guzman-Saenz from the 8100 block of 14th Avenue in Hyattsville. His body was found on Monday, January 19, 2009, at the edge of a stream in the Malcolm King Park, located at the end of School Drive in Gaithersburg. On Thursday, May 7, Joel Y. Ventura-Quintanilla, age 22, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with the first-degree murder of Guzman-Saenz. He is currently being held without bond at the Montgomery County Detention Center.
What is wrong with the political leaders and citizens of Montgomery County when they do not understand that an open-door policy toward illegal immigrants is the fuel that feeds the criminal elements in the county? This Saturday, May 16, a number of pro-illegal alien community organizations, taxpayer funded illegal alien support groups including CASA of Maryland and the Montgomery County Government are sponsoring a "Safe Silver Spring Summit". Ravaged by increasing gang violence, murders and crime, a major portion committed by illegal aliens, the desperate homeowners associations in Silver Spring decided to plan a crime summit. Help Save Maryland (HSM) participated in the early planning meetings, and suggested that instead of cuddling criminal illegal aliens, communities should demand that the Montgomery County Police enforce the law and work the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to arrest and deport illegal aliens. At the demand of CASA of Maryland and the County Executive, HSM was removed from the summit planning committee. Instead of a crime summit, this event will be an amnesty love-in for illegal aliens in the community. Planned Summit recommendations include demanding more tax dollars for groups like CASA of Maryland to help illegal aliens fit in so they won't join gangs or commit crimes. Participants should know that there are alternatives to aiding and abetting illegal aliens. Please contact Help Save Maryland, Brad Botwin, bb67chev@aol.com or 240-447-1884 for instructions on volunteering Saturday morning to help with another (anti-illegal alien) solution for Silver Spring. The below article is in the Washington Post today. I have been saying for years that the welcome-mat for illegals is bad news for our community. Illegal immigrants bring their own culture and criminal ways with them while they will join gangs and then commit crime when the jobs are not there. Many of us in the county have been victims of crime from illegal immigrants. Ike Leggett is still supporting CASA and the illegal immigrant community, instead of the tax paying citizens. It is time to throw Ike Leggett out of office and demand that the Police Chief do his job in identifying these individuals.
Attitudes Shift on Illegal Residents Some Link Crime In Montgomery To Immigration By Dan Morse and Ann E. Marimow Washington Post Staff Writers Sunday, January 11, 2009; A01 For years, mainstream Montgomery County has been generally accepting of illegal immigrants, and county leaders followed suit, pledging not to enforce immigration laws even as police agencies elsewhere in the region began to do so. But public sentiment appears to be shifting in Montgomery, driven less by ideology than by alarm over rising crime and the recent slayings of a 14-year-old honor student on a county transit bus and a 63-year-old woman in her Bethesda home. "People who are very, very tolerant want to see some changes," said County Council member Marc Elrich (D-At Large), one of five council members who said in interviews that public opinion has shifted in recent months. Elrich said crime has "really hit home" even in his neighborhood of Takoma Park, a city that since 1985 has officially refused to identify or report undocumented immigrants. Mariana Cordier, who grew up in the county and is a past president of the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association, said residents are increasingly linking crime to illegal immigration. "It's been slow to come to Montgomery County," she said of that perception, "but it has arrived." Police Chief J. Thomas Manger is developing a proposal to have county police officers check the immigration status of suspects arrested for violent crimes and weapons offenses. "I wouldn't have gone for it a year ago," Bethesda resident Judy Campbell said recently, leaving a natural food co-op in Takoma Park with soy milk and a slice of vegan double-chocolate fudge cake. "Until this series of violent crimes, it wasn't on my radar screen." Campbell, a 50-year-old nurse, is an avowed liberal. She thinks illegal immigrants deserve publicly funded health care. She once voted for Dennis Kucinich. And for the upcoming inauguration, she plans to participate in Chant4Change, an event that bills itself as a gathering for "conscious revolutionaries." -

We are making progress in Montgomery County with illegal immigration--it is sad that recent murders have happened for the politicians to act. County Executive Leggett is responsible for the high murder and crime rate due to his "Open-Border" policy for illegal immigrants.
Montgomery Police Seek Tougher Line On Immigrant Status Detainees' Residency Would Be Checked In Cases Involving Weapons, Violence By Dan Morse Washington Post Staff Writer Thursday, January 1, 2009; Page B01 Montgomery County police are seeking approval to ask suspects arrested for violent crimes and weapons offenses about their immigration status, an about-face in a county whose leaders for years declined to do so even as police agencies elsewhere in the region began aggressive efforts to identify illegal immigrants. The proposal, developed by Chief J. Thomas Manger and his senior staff, comes after two alleged illegal immigrants were charged in the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old honor student on a county transit bus and after another alleged illegal immigrant was charged in a string of home invasions and the slaying of a 63-year-old Bethesda resident in her home. "All public officials have been receiving questions from citizens who are asking, 'Why are persons who are in the country illegally or unlawfully allowed to remain?' " said Wayne M. Jerman, an assistant police chief. Jerman said the policy is not ideologically driven. Rather, he said, police officials see immigration violations as another tool to get dangerous criminals off the streets. The proposal will not go into effect without the approval of County Executive Isiah Leggett, who once angrily told a crowd that the county is "not in the business of enforcing immigration issues." Through a spokesman, Leggett declined to comment. It is unclear when he will make a decision. Del. Ana Sol Gutierrez (D-Montgomery) said she and other immigrant advocates have met with Leggett to convey their opposition to the policy change. She said it could lead to racial profiling and constitutional violations. -

Montgomery County has a list of over 11,000 outstanding warrants as of July 2008. This list includes individuals who have been stopped by the county police for DUI, driving without a license or without insurance. y6wrp8 tqvms, glxwuaswqq, ujsowxh, …
