Obama and his Anti-American Holder Justice Department are not enforcing the immigration laws, but are targeting US citizens in Arizona. With Democrat controlled states or cities where "illegal immigrant" sanctuary is the policy, the Justice Department says that they are safe and will not be a target of the federal government.
Again, Obama is again playing politics and not enforcing the law. He is catering to the illegals who he hopes will vote for him and the Democrat Party through fraud (...but they do not care about our Constitution). A week after suing Arizona and arguing that the state's immigration law creates a patchwork of rules, the Obama administration said it will not go after so-called sanctuary cities that refuse to cooperate with the federal government on immigration enforcement, on the grounds that they are not as bad as a state that "actively interferes." "There is a big difference between a state or locality saying they are not going to use their resources to enforce a federal law, as so-called sanctuary cities have done, and a state passing its own immigration policy that actively interferes with federal law," Tracy Schmaler, a spokeswoman for Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr., told The Washington Times. "That's what Arizona did in this case." But the author of the 1996 federal law that requires states and localities to cooperate with federal authorities on immigration laws thinks the administration is misreading the statute and that sanctuary cities are in violation of federal law. Drawing a distinction between those localities and Arizona, he said, is "flimsy justification" for suing the state. "For the Justice Department to suggest that they won't take action against those who passively violate the law, who fail to comply with the law is absurd," said Rep. Lamar Smith of Texas, the ranking Republican on the House Judiciary Committee and chief author of the 1996 immigration law. "Will they ignore individuals who fail to pay taxes? Will they ignore banking laws that require disclosure of transactions over $10,000? Of course not." A spokeswoman for Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. says sanctuary cities that refuse to enforce federal immigration laws will not face lawsuits like Arizona, which has passed a law on illegal immigrants. A spokeswoman for Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. says sanctuary cities that refuse to enforce federal immigration laws will not face lawsuits like Arizona, which has passed a law on illegal immigrants. Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer and other critics said that sanctuary cities--localities that refuse to check on someone's legal status or won't alert immigration authorities when they encounter illegal immigrants-- are just as guilty of creating a patchwork of laws, and violate the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996. Once again,The White House is just plain wrong on the law since the Arizona law mirrors federal law and Obama is just trying to gain more support with Hispanics. Sanctuary policies encourage more criminal, human trafficking, and drug violence in our cities and nation. We must put our military on the border to control our borders and start targeting illegals so they do not get jobs or any government support from the tax payers. -

Both BP and the Obama administration are lying to the American people about the Gulf Oil spill. They have covered up the amount of oil being released into the Gulf, the clean-up efforts, time to fix the leak, and what substances are really coming out of the hole. Crude oil is black, yet this substances coming from the pipe are brown, yellow, and different colors. From the very start of this crisis, we have not been told the truth.
President Obama on Tuesday blamed BP's "recklessness" for the oil spewing into the Gulf of Mexico, vowed to make the company pay for the damage, and said the worst environmental crisis in U.S. history must force the country to move to energy independence. Why not also blame the federal government for forcing oil companies to drill in depths that a human cannot get to in order to fix a problem? Why is the pressure from this oil well so great--did they hit something besides an oil well? Mr. Obama tried to assure Americans that he is on top of the cleanup effort, though he acknowledged the spill has "tested the limits of human technology." But he stopped short of setting a deadline or offering details of what he wants to see in energy legislation, leaving Congress to take the lead on yet another major part of his agenda. He offered no solutions for stopping the oil leak, except for months away by drilling relief wells. He called for an escrow fund, paid for by BP, that will compensate those who live along the coast and whose livelihoods have been affected by the spill, and he promised to carry out a long-term restoration plan to repair an entire region that he said is still recovering from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Mr. Obama said Navy Secretary Ray Mabus, a former Mississippi governor, will head the reconstruction effort, consulting broadly with governments, communities and businesses in the affected regions. Again, Obama does not have solutions, but is trying to take over more businesses and wanting more regulations. Currently, BP is capped for damages it must pay so who will really pay the cost of this oil spill over the next 20 years? And despite the huge projected environmental and economic costs related to the spill, Mr. Obama added, "We will make BP pay." Government scientists said Tuesday that they estimate far more oil could be leaking into the Gulf than originally thought. The new estimate is between 35,000 and 60,000 barrels of oil per day, much higher than the previous guess of between 20,000 and 40,000 barrels. The administration says 15,000 to 17,000 barrels of leaked oil are being contained daily. Obama is supposed to meet the CEO of BP, but this will not solve this crisis. The entire Gulf region from Texas to Florida and even the Eastern Seaboard will be affected by this oil spill. It will take 20 years to recover if we ever do. Tell the American people the truth. -

The US Congress and the President is spending money like a drunken sailor with no responsibility to the American tax payer. Look at what has happened in Greece and now in the UK. We have elected officials who are not responsible on fiscal issues and they are funding pet social and party projects. We now have a $13 Trillion debt and are borrowing money from a communist country to pay for our uncontrolled spending. This is a real critical issue that we must address now or it will create a depression. Do not take more of our hard earned money for taxes--control spending.
Europe's economic picture darkened further Monday as Britain's prime minister declared the nation's finances to be worse than feared -- requiring sacrifices that will affect "our very way of life" -- and the euro slid further toward parity with the dollar. From small EU nations such as Hungary and Greece to big ones such as Germany, which on Monday announced its own harsh austerity measures, the Continent's economic and fiscal crisis is showing no sign of letting up. Germany, Europe's economic powerhouse, promised a raft of spending cuts, vowing to "set an example" for heavily indebted Greece, Spain and Portugal, which are buckling under their debt loads and threaten to drag Europe's currency union down with them. With even an unprecedented multibillion-dollar rescue package failing to fully persuade investors, European nations are scrambling to regain credibility and shore up market confidence by proving they can get their houses in order. There is no doubt the cuts will be painful, and government leaders are preparing their citizens for the blow. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Germany needs to save 80 billion euros ($96 billion) through 2014 by reducing handouts to parents, cutting 15,000 government jobs and delaying projects such as construction of a replica of a Prussian palace in Berlin. British Prime Minister David Cameron warned in a speech of painful cutbacks that may shape the nation for an entire generation and are necessary because "the overall scale of the problem is even worse than we thought." "How we deal with these things will affect our economy, our society -- indeed our whole way of life," he said. "The decisions we make will affect every single person in our country. And the effects of those decisions will stay with us for years, perhaps decades to come." Mr. Cameron's government will announce cuts in a June 22 emergency budget, less than two months after coming to power at the head of Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition. On Monday, he remained vague on details of how his government plans to close its record deficit, which reached 152.8 billion pounds sterling ($221.5 billion), or 10.9 percent of economic output in the last fiscal year. German and British efforts to close their budget deficits -- or the yearly gap in government spending and revenue -- come after Spain and Portugal were ordered to toughen austerity programs to keep them from needing a bailout like Greece. It is time that the American tax payer vote for individuals who will cut spending and control the federal, state, and local budgets. The Boston Tea Party happened for a reason--now the Tea Party must reshape the political landscape. Fire the President and members of Congress who do not want to control spending and put policies in place that will promote growth. We as a nation do not need elected officials who want to take more of our money---we need politicians who will be fiscally responsible. -

The US Department of Justice must start protecting American citizens and stop the "Open-Border" Mexican groups like MALDEF, Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, from targeting US citizens from false "racial" claims from illegal aliens. The below is an example of illegals and their front-organizations targeting Americans who are tryong to protect their property. This is like the Obama administration bringing US Navy Seals to trial for "punching" a terrorist who had killed several American citizens after they were given the mission of capture or kill the terrorist. Our legal system is out of control when illegals and terrorists are given the same rights as US citizens. An Arizona man who has waged a 10-year campaign to stop a flood of illegal immigrants from crossing his property is being sued by 16 Mexican nationals who accuse him of conspiring to violate their civil rights when he stopped them at gunpoint on his ranch on the U.S.-Mexico border. Roger Barnett, 64, began rounding up illegal immigrants in 1998 and turning them over to the U.S. Border Patrol, he said, after they destroyed his property, killed his calves and broke into his home. His Cross Rail Ranch near Douglas, Ariz., is known by federal and county law enforcement authorities as "the avenue of choice" for immigrants seeking to enter the United States illegally. Trial continues Monday in the federal lawsuit, which seeks $32 million in actual and punitive damages for civil rights violations, the infliction of emotional distress and other crimes. Also named are Mr. Barnett's wife, Barbara, his brother, Donald, and Larry Dever, sheriff in Cochise County, Ariz., where the Barnetts live. The civil trial is expected to continue until Friday. The lawsuit is based on a March 7, 2004, incident in a dry wash on the 22,000-acre ranch, when he approached a group of illegal immigrants while carrying a gun and accompanied by a large dog. Attorneys for the immigrants - five women and 11 men who were trying to cross illegally into the United States - have accused Mr. Barnett of holding the group captive at gunpoint, threatening to turn his dog loose on them and saying he would shoot anyone who tried to escape. The immigrants are represented at trial by the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), which also charged that Sheriff Dever did nothing to prevent Mr. Barnett from holding their clients at "gunpoint, yelling obscenities at them and kicking one of the women." In the lawsuit, MALDEF said Mr. Barnett approached the group as the immigrants moved through his property, and that he was carrying a pistol and threatening them in English and Spanish. At one point, it said, Mr. Barnett's dog barked at several of the women and he yelled at them in Spanish, "My dog is hungry and he's hungry for buttocks." The lawsuit said he then called his wife and two Border Patrol agents arrived at the site. It also said Mr. Barnett acknowledged that he had turned over 12,000 illegal immigrants to the Border Patrol since 1998. In March, U.S. District Judge John Roll rejected a motion by Mr. Barnett to have the charges dropped, ruling there was sufficient evidence to allow the matter to be presented to a jury. Mr. Barnett's attorney, David Hardy, had argued that illegal immigrants did not have the same rights as U.S. citizens. Mr. Barnett told The Washington Times in a 2002 interview that he began rounding up illegal immigrants after they started to vandalize his property, northeast of Douglas along Arizona Highway 80. He said the immigrants tore up water pumps, killed calves, destroyed fences and gates, stole trucks and broke into his home. Some of his cattle died from ingesting the plastic bottles left behind by the immigrants, he said, adding that he installed a faucet on an 8,000-gallon water tank so the immigrants would stop damaging the tank to get water. Mr. Barnett said some of the ranch´s established immigrant trails were littered with trash 10 inches deep, including human waste, used toilet paper, soiled diapers, cigarette packs, clothes, backpacks, empty 1-gallon water bottles, chewing-gum wrappers and aluminum foil - which supposedly is used to pack the drugs the immigrant smugglers give their "clients" to keep them running. He said he carried a pistol during his searches for the immigrants and had a rifle in his truck "for protection" against immigrant and drug smugglers, who often are armed. A former Cochise County sheriff´s deputy who later was successful in the towing and propane business, Mr. Barnett spent $30,000 on electronic sensors, which he has hidden along established trails on his ranch. He searches the ranch for illegal immigrants in a pickup truck, dressed in a green shirt and camouflage hat, with his handgun and rifle, high-powered binoculars and a walkie-talkie. His sprawling ranch became an illegal-immigration highway when the Border Patrol diverted its attention to several border towns in an effort to take control of the established ports of entry. That effort moved the illegal immigrants to the remote areas of the border, including the Cross Rail Ranch. "This is my land. I´m the victim here," Mr. Barnett said. "When someone´s home and loved ones are in jeopardy and the government seemingly can´t do anything about it, I feel justified in taking matters into my own hands. And I always watch my back." -

Congrats to the Navy Seal in his military trial who has been acquitted of abuse to a terrorist who killed Americans. The Obama administration acted "stupid" in this case. Obama is so intent on making peace with our enemy that he cannot provide American rights to our military.
The Navy Seal team was ordered to capture or kill the terrorist who killed several American contractors. The terrorist said that the military member punched him and this was "mean". They should have killed this guy. With the Obama administration targeting our military and not the Muslim terrorists, our military will still do their job and may not take prisoners. Support our military, not terrorists. -

The CBO's projections for the Health Care Bill is totally wrong. The Obama administration gave them only what they wanted to score so the numbers were prearranged. The true cost of Obamacare will bankrupt our nation since it adds $2.6 trillion.
Now the CBO is projecting President Obama's fiscal 2011 budget will generate nearly $10 trillion in cumulative budget deficits over the next 10 years, $1.2 trillion more than the administration projected, and raise the federal debt to 90 percent of the nation's economic output by 2020, the Congressional Budget Office reported Thursday. In its 2011 budget, which the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) released Feb. 1, the administration projected a 10-year deficit total of $8.53 trillion. After looking it over, CBO said in its final analysis, released Thursday, that the president's budget would generate a combined $9.75 trillion in deficits over the next decade. "An additional $1.2 trillion in debt dumped on [GDP] to our children makes a huge difference," said Brian Riedl, a budget analyst at the conservative Heritage Foundation. "That represents an additional debt of $10,000 per household above and beyond the federal debt they are already carrying." The federal public debt, which was $6.3 trillion ($56,000 per household) when Mr. Obama entered office amid an economic crisis, totals $8.2 trillion ($72,000 per household) today, and it's headed toward $20.3 trillion (more than $170,000 per household) in 2020, according to CBO's deficit estimates. That figure would equal 90 percent of the estimated gross domestic product in 2020, up from 40 percent at the end of fiscal 2008. By comparison, America's debt-to-GDP ratio peaked at 109 percent at the end of World War II, while the ratio for economically troubled Greece hit 115 percent last year. For countries with debt-to-GDP ratios "above 90 percent, median growth rates fall by 1 percent, and average growth falls considerably more," according to a recent research paper by economists Kenneth S. Rogoff of Harvard and Carmen M. Reinhart of the University of Maryland. "The biggest part of the deficit difference is lower tax revenue due to the different economic assumptions," said James R. Horney, a federal-budget analyst at the liberal Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. "The administration assumes GDP and incomes will be higher, and that translates into higher revenues than CBO expects. Relatively small differences in economic assumptions can add up to big differences over 10 years." The president has established a fiscal commission to propose actions to reach his goal of balancing the budget by 2015, except for net interest payments, which CBO projects to total $520 billion that year. The president's budget, however, will generate a $793 billion deficit in 2015, according to CBO. "The proposed budget is woefully insufficient to achieve the president's goal or the important fiscal goal of stabilizing the debt at a reasonable level in the medium and long term," Ms. MacGuineas said. The U.S. Congress and the President are NOT fiscally responsible and are just pushing debt into the future so they can spend and reward their supporters like ACORN and the unions. We must cut spending, reduce our debt, secure our borders, and stop the socialist agenda. -

The Obama administration is giving a know terrorist who killed American citizens more rights than our brave members of the Navy Seals. That's right---the Obama liberal justice system is going after five Navy Seals who captured a known and targeted terrorist. What is wrong with this radical attack on our troops who have been given the mission of killing terrorists? These five brave men captured this terrorist and hit him so they are now the bad guys? They should have killed him.
The terrorist who was captured by the American Seal team killed Americans through an ambush in Fallujah , Iraq. Their bodies were dragged around in the streets of the city, then burned and hung from the upper trusses of a bridge. The murderers gathered to celebrate and have their photos taken with the trophy. A Navy Seal team was formed to go after this terrorist and now are facing criminal charges because, somewhere along the timeline of his capture, the terrorist murderer suffered a school-yard fat lip, his captors are now being charged with nothing short of war crimes and facing discharge and imprisonment. So, instead of celebration of justice served and heroes honored, these men are facing trial and prison because they hit a terrorist. The mother of slain Blackwater guard Jerry Zovko drove from Ohio to give each of the accused SEALs a blessed rosary and lend them her support. "These young SEALs are in this situation because they caught the mastermind behind the death of my son (and others), and not only my son and his co-workers but also the marines who went into Fallujah after their death," said Donna Zovko. "I am very proud of these young SEALs and thankful to them. They did not do anything wrong." I perceive more symptoms of a sickness, a corruption of the nation's heart and soul. I am tempted to label it 'liberalism' or 'progressivism', but those too are just symptoms of the infection. But this is nothing new, I recognized these symptoms four decades ago in the shameful treatment of our warriors returning from Vietnam, in the acceptance of Marines bombed in Beirut, in the ho-hum yawn of media coverage of Mogadishu (Black Hawk Down), in the return to mental numbness after 9/11, prosecution of the Marines of Haditha, assault of recruiters across the country, anti-war protesters at the gates of Walter Reed Army Hospital... Our nation must stand up and support our Navy Seals and demand that the Obama liberal justice system be stopped. Our military must be supported in time of war or bring them home. Better yet, we need to throw out this anti-American administration and put a real President in the White House who supports the values of our military and society. -

The US Olympic team has performed well and needs to be congratulated for their hard work and dedication over the last four years of intense training. Their preparation has paid off and they have represented the US with pride.
The United States is guaranteed 37 medals and Canada will finish with at least 13 gold medals. The Americans will leave with the most medals by any country at any Winter Games. They also will win the medal count for only the second time, the other being at Lake Placid in 1932. There have been many individual efforts in speed skating, downhill sking, figure skating, freestyle sking, while the team efforts in the "Night Train" bobsled team, and the hockey team were the best. We have a lot to be proud of in these Olympics and it demonstrates the quality of our sports programs in the US. Congrats to all of the American citizens who have participated in the Olympics. -

What does the US and Iran have in common? Citizens in both countries are fighting for their rights under oppressive central governments.
For months, citizens in Iran have been fighting the Islamic autocratic rule of their elected leaders. Iran has had a quasi theocracy since the ouster of Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi in the Islamic Revolution of 1979. In June 2009, widespread protests over the results of a presidential election grew into the greatest challenge to its authority that the Shiite regime has faced. Thousands took to the streets before the demonstrations were suppressed through violence and mass arrests. On Aug. 5, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was sworn in for a second term through voter fraud. He and the religiours leaders face a defiant opposition movement, and deep rifts within the conservative ruling elite. Violent clashes between opposition protesters and government security forces erupted on Dec. 27, on the Shiite holy day of Ashura. The protests were the bloodiest and among the largest since the uprisings that followed the disputed presidential election. Thirteen people were reported to have been killed and many more wounded in street battles in cities across the country between security forces and protesters, who fought back more fiercely than ever before. In the United States. we (tax paying American citizens) are fed up with an out-of-control Congress and an administration that are forcing Socialist policies on our democracy. The liberals in the House and Senate are spending money that increases our national debt, taking control of private businesses and our health care system, passing policies and regulations that are adverse to a free enterprise system, are not fighting terrorists, giving terrorists rights, allowing illegals into our country, and taxing us more to pay for socialist programs. Americans are tired of these elected liberals who are destroying our country. Recent events such as the Tea Party rallies and the elections in Virginia and New Jersey are examples of how much people are fed up with Congress and this administration. People are afraid of this Congress and President taking away their individual rights and the rights of their states. The federal government is too large and is seeking to become larger with autocratic policies. The average citizen in both Iran and the US are worried about the future of their countries with the leadership of their elected leaders. In Iran it may take an armed uprising. Is America far behind? Can the US continue its peaceful transition of power when the people want a change? Yes, we can. We can do this in 2010 and 2012. -

What are real metrics and not just "puff"? The goal of this administration is ANMESTY for 20 million illegals. What should be measured: 1. Number of illegals that get across the border 2. Number of human traffickers 3. Number of drug runners 4. Amount of drugs coming across the border 5. Number of local and state agencies assisting under 287 (g) 6. Number of Day Labor Centers across America 7. Number of Consular offices opened by Mexico and other Central/South American countries 8. Number of country origins of illeglas arrested 9. Correct number of miles of fence that are built to specification 10. Number of actual agents on the border 11. Number of cameras, UAVs, and sensors on the border 12. Coordination with ICE on arresting illegals and business owners who give them jobs Napolitano pronounces US border more secure now By SUZANNE GAMBOA (AP) WASHINGTON — The Obama administration has met many of the border security benchmarks Congress set in 2007 as a prerequisite to immigration reform and now it's time to change the law, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Friday. Napolitano, designated by President Barack Obama to lead the administration's immigration reform efforts, said many members of Congress had said they could support immigration reform, but only after border security improved, Napolitano said. "Fast forward to today, and many of the benchmarks these members of Congress set in 2007 have been met," she said in a speech to the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank. She cited construction of 600 miles of border fence and the hiring of more than 20,000 Border Patrol agents. Illegal immigration has also fallen sharply because of better enforcement and the economy. "I've been dealing hands-on with immigration issues since 1993, so trust me: I know a major shift when I see one, and what I have seen makes reform far more attainable this time around," Napolitano said. Congress passed tough immigration enforcement legislation in 2006 that called for building 700 miles of border fences and barriers. Immigration critics have said the fence has not been built with double layers as the law required and is not all fencing. "How can they claim that enforcement is 'done' when there are more than 400 open miles of border with Mexico, hundreds of thousands of criminal and fugitive aliens and millions of illegal immigrants taking American jobs?" said Rep. Lamar Smith of Texas, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, which oversees immigration and border issues. Napolitano said the immigration and border security improvements are not enough. "The laws themselves need to be reformed," she said. Obama has repeatedly said immigration reform is a priority, although it has been pushed further down the list as he has taken on the economy and health care reform. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., has said he would introduce legislation by early next year. New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez, who heads the Senate Democrats' campaign arm, has said immigration reform must be done by March or it won't be taken up until after the 2010 elections. -

Iran is the # 1 enemy of the United States and the world. For over 30 years, Iran has supported and exported terror around the world and against America.
Iran supports terrorism in the below areas: 1. Provides money, arms, IED material, and manpower to kill American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan 2. Provides support to Hezbollah with support to kill Israeli and American citizens 3. Provides support to Hamas so they can kill Israeli citizens 4. Has supported terrorists in airplane hijackings and bombings 5. Is building nuclear weapons to expand their terrorist threats The U.S. policy concerning Iran is weak and unrealistic. Iran is still calling for the "Death to America" and is calling for the "destruction of Israel". We must take them seriously and do more than just "engage" Iran with empty words. -

Our US Congress is out of control when it comes to fiscal responsibility. They are spending billions and billions of dollars that are not in the US Treasury. The Congress is extending unemployment, bailouts to firms, and the debt ceiling. Our nation is being owned by foreign governments and individuals who buy our bonds and financial paper. The US dollar is sinking to all-time lows and will destroy our trading ability and our economy.
America is a great nation. It enjoys unprecedented wealth. Its people are among the freest in the world. And, with the world's most powerful armed forces, the United States is largely the master of its own destiny. Yet there is an insidious threat to America's continued greatness. It gets scarce attention because its effects are not immediate, but that threat is real. It is the threat of crushing government debt. Few things can march a great power down the road of decline faster than irresponsible economic policies - and huge debt is most often the drum leader of the pack. To learn which nations are most at the mercies of their enemies, just look at the World Bank's list of most "highly indebted poor countries." Today, the federal government is piling up debt as never before. Publicly-held debt now exceeds $7 trillion -about $22,000 per person. And it's expected to increase by $9 trillion over the next 10 years. Yes, we had extremely high debt after World War II, but unlike today's debt, it was temporary. Today's massive and growing entitlement costs mean that, absent reform, the picture will only get worse over the long-term. What difference does this make for U.S. security? The more we have to pay to service the rising debt and pay out for entitlements, the less there is for defense. Unless we reverse course, this means that - in our children's lifetime - the U.S. military might be unable to protect a sea lane vital to trade and military supply lines. We might be unable to suppress an enemy regime that launches a terrorist attack against us. And absent the great American economic engine, we might lack the resources to stay on the cutting edge of technology, leaving our soldiers vulnerable to being matched or even trumped on the battlefield by better-equipped foes. Other ruinous scenarios are possible as well. Suppose foreigners refuse to buy U.S. debt, leading to debt-induced inflation that eats away at productivity and the currency. In this situation, Americans could completely lose confidence in protecting our interests abroad. Beset by inflation and other towering economic problems, Americans could understandably turn toward isolationism, as they had by the 1930s. This would create power vacuums around the world and unleash enemies bent on challenging the great "sick man of America." The elected leaders of our country are not true to their oath of office and are causing our nation to become a true-debtor nation. We cannot keep spending billions of dollars at the federal level when we do not have the funds. Government programs have to be reduced. Where is the fiscal responsibility of the US Congress? -

Afghan President Hamid Karzai questioned the reliability of the United States as a partner Sunday, as he fought off criticism of his government's legitimacy following fraud-marred elections. Is this because the US is demanding another election or his leadership over the last 8 years?
Mr. Karzai's main challenger, former Foreign Minister Abdullah Abdullah, warned in an interview with CNN that the U.S. strategy would not succeed without a credible partner in Kabul, blaming Mr. Karzai for deteriorating conditions. But underscoring the political headache that Washington faces if Mr. Karzai wins a runoff against Mr. Abdullah next month, Mr. Karzai pointed the finger at the United States in a separate, pre-recorded CNN interview. "Is the United States a reliable partner with Afghanistan? Is the West a reliable partner with Afghanistan?" Mr. Karzai asked. "Have we received the commitments that we were given? Have we been treated like a partner?" Mr. Karzai said a partnership to him was "where the Afghan lives are respected, where Afghan property is respected, where the Afghan traditions are respected, where we know the direction we are moving to." I would like to know what the leadership and people of Afghanistan have accomplished over the last 8 years in getting their county in line with a democracy? Are the people still growing poppies, using graft to accomplish government work, and still have in-fighting? Afghanistan has nothing to offer the US, except keeping the terrorist out of training bases. Is it worth our billions of dollars, the lives of our soldiers, and our efforts? It is time to either go after the terrorists without restrictions and kill them or get out? -

For years I have witnessed and said that the illegal trafficking of humans and drugs has caused great damage to our southwest environment. I have personally seen thousnds of tons of trash that includes empty water bottles, clothes, boxes, backpacks, and human waste along our southern border from Texas to California. The humanitarian groups, ACLU, and other left wing environmental groups that target businesses who want to log or drill for oil do not say anything about the illegals destroying our southwest environment and national forests.
Michael M. Hawkes, manager of the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge, reaches across his desk and pulls out a homemade blue-and-red bumper sticker that reads, "Littering is always a crime." An estimated 300,000 illegal immigrants traversed Buenos Aires, AZ 118,000 acres in 2007, leaving tons of trash, rusting abandoned cars, biologically hazardous waste and vehicle tracks that reduced parts of the landscape to a dusty wasteland. That hurts just about every aspect of the refuge's mission, which was established in 1985 to try to preserve the endangered masked bobwhite quail, one of seven endangered species on the refuge. In the last two years, though, border security has been built up, with more manpower and a fence across the entire refuge boundary with Mexico. The result, according to Mr. Hawkes: The number of illegal crossers dropped to 20,600 in fiscal year 2009, or just 7 percent of what it was in 2007. Abandoned cars dropped from 100 in 2007 to zero in the most recent 12-month period. The land near the fence is already recovering. Along with the illegals doing damage to our environment, it turns out that on the U.S.-Mexico border, the humanitarian groups that drop gallon jugs of water on public lands to help illegal immigrants crossing the rugged borderlands also are responsible for this damage. Mr. Hawkes says dealing with those groups now takes up most of his time, and it only builds on top of the pile of other pressures — an army of illegal immigrants and drug smugglers, some of them armed, facing off against the U.S. Border Patrol — that have transformed his wildlife sanctuary into ground zero for the nation's immigration wars. Extreme environmental damage happens every day along the U.S.-Mexico border on personal ranches, refuges, Indian reservations, national forests and the rest of the federal lands that make up 40 percent of the boundary between the two countries. The clear losers in the clash are the land, and the plants and animals that live on the edge in this beautiful but precarious environment — innocent bystanders caught up in an escalating, seemingly endless war between the immigrants, smugglers and the drug cartels and the authorities charged with catching them. It is time for the Obama administration to stop this damage to our southwest desert and target the ones that damage our lands, plants, and animals. The border fence works and more must be accomplished to stop human trafficking across our borders. -

I know that the White House is asking that we "tattle" and turn in people in opposition to the President's policies. Who sounds "fishy" in the whole government-runs-everything programs? Who reaaly needs to be turned in---members of Congress for not reading the bills and voting on socialist programs? The President for pushing his far-left radical agenda? The media for not reporting the facts and promoting the president?
The below letter can be written by many Americans who fear for their Country and the true American way of life. I am turning myself in. I oppose the radical government control policies supported by President Obama and the left-wing Democrats in Congress. I opposed the stimulus done by President Bush, the stimulus signed by President Obama, the omnibus bill with all its pork projects, the cap and trade bill passed by the House, and the "cash for clunkers" bill. I oppose closing Guantanamo. I think President Obama and his wife both promote racism since it helps their political agenda. I believe that President Obama is not an honest man and I do not trust him to make decisions that are best for America. I believe that he hides any information that does not make him look good and he lacks experience and leadership qualities. I believe the recession is far from over as companies continue to fire employees because they cannot afford to hire them. I believe the national debt and deficit will continue to grow as tax collections continue to fall and the numbers of people depending on government bailouts continue to grow. I blame the Obama policies supported by the House and Senate for this sad state of affairs in our country. I don't see anything positive happening as a result of these policies. I believe the economy would be well on the way to recovery if Obama had not jumped in and promoted uncontrolled spending and the House and Senate supported him. I believe that President Obama puts union leaders ahead of the average American citizen. I believe he received huge political contributions from the unions and he is paying them back by supporting them. I believe the unions were responsible for the downfall of the auto industry. I question that anyone in DC really understands that the decisions they are making are wrong for growth and are taking this country down the wrong path. I see no signs of change in DC so I have no hope that things will turn around until we get change. I believe the voters elected President Obama because they actually believed that he would turn the economy around and create jobs and make life better for all Americans. That hope and change seems to not be working too well. I pray that we do not give his ideas more time to work. It could be too late to recover for years and years! And I think that the proposed health care bill that he says he will pass, is one of the worst things that could happen to this counry. I believe that Americans will have to wait in lines, get on waiting lists for surgeries, be refused medications they need due to high costs, and that the elderly will not get the care they currently receive but will be made comfortable as they live their final years and days, with pain pills. As I age I certainly don't want a government counselor working with me to make my final years and months easier. I think that should be a good doctor and my family and friends. If it costs too much to keep me alive, that should be my decision, not the Obama Administration. I believe that President Obama puts trial lawyers ahead of the average American citizen. I believe he received huge political contributions from them. He is against Tort reform. The huge medical settlements make it necessary for all doctors to carry large amounts of insurance in case they are sued. I believe that raises our medical costs. I believe there should be limits placed on medical payouts due to law suits. Obama is against limits and sides with the trial lawyers. (John Edwards, former presidential candidate, is a very rich trial lawyer and earned huge sums of money based on medical lawsuits. His NC home is one of the largest private homes in the state.) I believe the government will have access to private information regarding the finances of every American and that the government will be able to tap into the finances of American citizens to pay for health care. The government will also be able to use this information to tax American citizens. I believe that the Obama Administration is the "big brother" that we have dreaded all our lives. Today I heard President Obama advising his supporters to get in the faces of those who disagree with him. I have heard people in the administration saying that the people attending town hall meetings and speaking in opposition to health care, are members of gangs and are dressed too well to be real. I have heard that these people are being bused in to the meetings by organized groups. I just heard an ad that calls those attending town hall meetings "angry mobs" and " rabid right wing extremists". When the govenment starts to criticize and make fun of protesters in town hall meetings, belittling them as thugs and gang members who are not acting on their own, that is a scary thing. And when the president encourages people to get in the faces of protesters, that is scary. What will be the next suggestion made by the president to control the protesters? And how far will he go to silence the protesters? I have not been asked to write this e-mail. I have not been encouraged to attend any town hall meetings. No one has offered me money to protest against President Obama and the House and Senate members. I am acting on my own. I have the ability to think for myself and believe that I can make the decisions best for me. I plan to continue to speak up and let those around me, as well as Senator Hagan and Representative Kissell, know how I am reacting to what is going on. I have never before been a political activist but I have never before seen government out of control as it is in 2009. I will support those who oppose what is happening and I will speak out until our govenment starts behaving in a manner that will benefit our country. I encourage the American people to speak out and attend town hall meetings and ask questions if they are concerned about their country. We still have the right to speak out. I am copying this e-mail to a lot of people. They have to make up their own minds about how far they are willing to go to protect their own healthcare. They have to decide if they are going to attend a town hall meeting. I hope this e-mail will encourage them to speak out. But I am not forcing anyone to agree with me. I am not threatening anyone. I am angry but I am not a mob. I consider myself a conservative, not a "rabid right wing extremist". So, White House, I have officially tattled on myself and turned myself in..........How much trouble am I in? How will you use this information against me? Can I save my Country from you--I will try. -

The recent racial issue in Cambridge, MA is a typical reverse discrimination incident. A white police officer arrests a black man who is disruptive and will not cooperate with the police. The problem is that the black man is a university professor who teaches classes about overcoming racial issues. Mr. Gates was showing his racial prejudices, just like Reverend Wright.
The arrest of Henry Louis Gates. reminds us that we do not live in a post-racial society due to a post-politically correct society that wants to find victims. Look at the recent judicial case against white firefighters where the President's Supreme Court nominee ruled against them only because they were white. The Supreme Court just ruled in their favor and said that the white firefighters were wrongly denied promotion. Why did the governor of Massachusetts remark that Mr. Gates has experienced "every black man's nightmare." Much of what has been publicly discussed pushed a stereotyped narrative to a public with a sense of collective "white guilt." It was Mr. Gate's fault that he was arrested, but once again the black guy needs an excuse and wants to be a victim of the system and society. Mr. Gates is an elder elite, radical-thinking, well-educated bigot. He tried to insult a blue-collar police officer, who was following standard police procedure. The arresting officers only put their hands on Mr. Gates to handcuff him when he refused, after several warnings, to cooperate with police efforts to sort out the situation and secure his own property. In adopting an adversarial attitude based on an assumption of racial bias, Mr. Gates rejected an opportunity to exercise the hard-won right to have his property protected. The Stupid Act was on Mr. Gates' part, not the police. President Obama, absent the facts, claimed the arresting cops acted "stupidly," without using proper judgment and without relying on their years of service and training. The President was wrong in this matter and the "Beer Summit" did not heal the wounds he caused to the rest of America. -

All members of Congress will be on notice that we do not want this bill and that we will vote you out of office. 8th Circuit Affirms the Right of Communities to Enforce our Nation's Immigration Laws
Today, in a 3-0 decision, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld local ordinances enacted to discourage illegal immigration and protect business owners. The case, Gray v. Valley Park, Missouri involved a small suburb of St. Louis, which passed an ordinance requiring businesses to use a federal worker verification program known as E-Verify in order to maintain a business license. The law was challenged in court by a coalition assembled by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF). Valley Park was represented against the ACLU and MALDEF attacks by the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI), the legal arm of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), lead by its senior counsel Kris Kobach. In upholding the lower decision, the appellate court affirmed that: Communities and local municipalities are within their rights to pass ordinances requiring businesses to sign up for E-verify on pain of losing their business licenses; On appeal, having lost at the trial level, the ACLU attorneys were unable to show their plaintiffs had suffered no "injury in fact." In reviewing the facts, the appellate court was puzzled as to why the ACLU even brought the case and dismissed their second complaint with prejudice. Nor did the court understand why the ACLU claimed the ordinance pertains to the hiring of Hispanic workers, when in fact, said the court, the ordinance in question "addresses the employment of illegal aliens, not Hispanics." According to Mike Hethmon, IRLI General Counsel, "this is an important decision of nationwide significance. Once again Professor Kobach has helped a small town defend its integrity and values when Washington refused to do its job. The court held that local jurisdictions can and should enact ordinances that are consistent with the national desire to discourage illegal immigration," he said. "The citizens should feel particularly justified that the court recognized the manipulative nature of the plaintiff's strategy. We have been facing trumped up opposition from MALDEF and the ACLU in courts all over the country. This time they got caught in the act," Hethmon concluded. E-Verify must be used by all government agencies, all companies, and all industries. This will enable American citizens to obtain jobs and help stop illegal immigration. The US Congress must fully fund this program and make it a federal requirement. -

The below is from a member of the Heritage Foundation and is a good analysis of the Obama budget. This budget plan will not be good for our country. We will be in debt for generations.
Obama's eight bogus budget arguments Brian M. Riedl President Obama has proposed a historic expansion of spending, taxes and debt. His budget would increase real spending from $25,000 per household to $32,000 per household by 2019. It would raise taxes by $1.4 trillion. And it would double the national debt - a staggering $9.3 trillion in new borrowing. A master communicator, the president employs clever rhetoric to defend his tax-borrow-and-spend budget. Unfortunately, this rhetoric fluctuates between misleading and false. Here are eight of his bogus budget arguments: Assertion No. 1: "I pledged to cut the deficit in half" by 2013. Fact: The president doesn't mention that the deficit has quadrupled this year. Merely cutting it in half from that bloated level would still leave budget deficits twice as high as under President Bush. This is like eating a 5,000 calorie meal, and then pledging to halve your calories from that level. Furthermore, three upcoming developments - the end of the recession, troop pullout in Iraq, and phase-out of the supposedly temporary "stimulus" spending - would, by themselves, cut the budget deficit in half. Despite Mr. Obama's talk of "inheriting" President Bush's $1.2 trillion deficit for 2009, then-Sen. Obama supported nearly all the policies that created the deficit. That deficit estimate has surged to $1.8 trillion since his inauguration. And when the recession ends, Mr. Obama would still run $1 trillion deficits - compared with President Bush's $162 billion deficit immediately before this recession. Assertion No. 2: "We have already identified $2 trillion in savings over the next decade." Fact: Savings relative to what? The president first creates a fantasy baseline that assumes the Iraq surge continues forever (which was never U.S. policy), and then "saves" $1.5 trillion against that baseline by ending the surge as scheduled. It's like a family "saving" $10,000 by first assuming an expensive vacation and then not taking it. Another $1 trillion in "savings" is actually tax increases. Government savings used to mean spending cuts that save taxpayer dollars. In the Obama White House, they mean tax increases that feed the government. Assertion No. 3: "If your family earns less than $250,000 a year, you will not see your taxes increased a single dime." Fact: This is patently false. The president has already signed into law a 61-cent cigarette tax increase. His budget proposes a $646 billion cap-and-trade tax that would be passed onto households at an average cost of $600 to $2,000 annually. Assertion No. 4: New spending is "temporary" to fight recession. Fact: Does anyone believe Mr. Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will allow stimulus bill expansions, including Pell Grants, food stamps and "make-work pay," to expire? The president's own budget already extends several expensive stimulus provisions. Overall, his budget would create the largest peacetime government in American history by 2019. There is nothing temporary about it. Assertion No. 5: Economic "day of reckoning" was caused by a lack of liberal social policies. Fact: Mr. Obama claims that the current economic day of reckoning partially resulted from current health care, education and energy policies, and that enacting his tax-and-spend reforms are the solution. Nonsense. The recession was caused by a financial crisis brought on by a housing bubble. To argue that national health care, energy taxes and education spending would have prevented this recession (they didn't save Europe from the same financial calamities) or may prevent the next is simply to use a financial crisis to shove an unrelated big-government agenda down the throats of recession weary Americans. Or, as White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel succinctly put it, "to never let a crisis go to waste." Assertion No. 6: "A return to honest budgeting" Fact: Mr. Obama deserves credit for reversing Mr. Bush's policy of not budgeting for the Alternative Minimum Tax patch, the global war on terrorism, and future unanticipated emergencies. But the Obama budget has large gimmicks, too. In addition to the $1.5 trillion Iraq "savings" trick described above, the president ignores the economic consensus and assumes an economic boom will begin next January. His budget assumes that he will allow most of the "stimulus" spending to expire. The president also assumes that - after a 7 percent increase next year - real discretionary spending will be frozen for the following nine years. Finally, he simply excludes the cost of his massive health plan from his budget totals. These gimmicks lowball the 2019 budget deficit by more than $500 billion. Assertion No. 7: A new direction from Mr. Bush's "deep fiscal irresponsibility" Fact: For all his criticisms of Mr. Bush's economic policies, Mr. Obama is actually accelerating many of them. Mr. Bush engaged in a massive spending spree, with large financial bailouts and big deficits; Mr. Obama's budget proposes an even bigger spending spree, more financial bailouts, and larger budget deficits. Mr. Bush had the Medicare drug entitlement; Mr. Obama has a massive health plan. Mr. Obama isn't rejecting Bushism, he's doubling down on it. Assertion No. 8: Agenda reflects "hard choices." Fact: The president titled his budget "A New Era of Responsibility." Yet promising voters huge new federal subsidies - paid for by doubling the national debt - isn't exactly a profile in courage. Instead, it is the most fiscally irresponsible budget in American history. To propose dumping $74,000 per household of new debt into the laps of our children and grandchildren is economic child abuse. • Brian M. Riedl is a Grover M. Hermann Fellow in Federal Budgetary Affairs at the Heritage Foundation. -

The below is from a news article.
Remember the guy who got on a plane with a bomb built into his shoe and tried to light it? Did you know his trial is over? Did you know he was sentenced? Did you see/hear any of the judge's comments on TV or Radio? Didn't think so..!!! Everyone should hear what the judge had to say. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ruling by Judge William Young, US District Court. Prior to sentencing, the Judge asked the defendant if he had anything to say. His response: After admitting his guilt to the court for the record, Reid also admitted his 'allegiance to Osama bin Laden, to Islam, and to the religion of Allah,' defiantly stating, 'I think I will not apologize for my actions,' and told the court 'I am at war with your country.' Judge Young then delivered the statement quoted below: January 30, 2003, United States vs. Reid. Judge Young: 'Mr. Richard C. Reid, hearken now to the sentence the Court imposes upon you. On counts 1, 5 and 6 the Court sentences you to life in prison in the custody of the United States Attorney General. On counts 2, 3, 4 and 7, the Court sentences you to 20 years in prison on20each count, the sentence on each count to run consecutively. (That's 80 years.) On count 8 the Court sentences you to the mandatory 30 years again, to be served=2 0consecutively to the 80 years just imposed. The Court imposes upon you for each of the eight counts a fine of $250,000 that's an aggregate fine of $2 million. The Court accepts the government's recommendation with respect to restitution and orders restitution in the amount of $298.17 to Andre Bousquet and $5,784 to American Airlines< /span>. The Court imposes upon you an $800 special assessment. The Court imposes upon you five years supervised release simply because the law requires it. But the life sentences are real life sentences so I need go no further. This is the sentence that is provided for by our statutes. It is a fair and just sentence. It is a righteous sentence. Now, let me explain this to you. We are not afraid of you or any of your terro rist co-conspirators, Mr. Reid.. We are Americans. We have been through the fire before. There is too much war talk here and I say that to everyone with the utmost respect. Here in this court, we deal with individuals as individuals and care for individuals as individuals. As human beings, we reach out for justice. You are not an enemy combatant. You are a terrorist. You are not a soldier in any war. You are a terrorist. To give you that reference, to call you a soldier , gives you far too much stature.. Whether the officers of government do it or your attorney does it, or if you think you are a soldier. You are not----- you are a t errorist. And we do not negotiate with terrorists. We do not meet with terrorists. We do not sign documents with terrorists. We hunt them down one by one and bring them to justice. So war talk is way out of line in this court. You are a big fellow. But you are not that big. You're no warrior. I've known warriors. You are a terrorist. A species of criminal that is guilty of multiple attempted murders.. In a very real sense, State Trooper Santiago had it right when you first were taken off that plane and into custody and you wondered where the press and the TV crews were, and he said: 'You're no big deal.' You are no big deal. What your able counsel and what the equally able United States attorneys have grappled with and what I have as honestly as I know how tried to grapple with, is why you did something so horrific. What was it that led you here to this courtroom today? I have listened respectfully to what you have to say. And I ask you to search your heart and ask yourself what sort of unfathomable hate led you to do what you are guilty and admit you are guilty of doing? And, I have an answer for you. It may not satisfy you, but as I search this entire record, it comes as close to understanding as I kn ow. It see ms to me you hate the one thing that to us is most precious. You hate our freedom. Our individual freedom. Our individual freedom to live as we choose, to come and go as we choose, to believe or not believe as we individually choose. Here, in this society, the very wind carries freedom. It carries it everywhere from sea to shining sea. It is because we prize individual freedom so much that you are here in this beautiful courtroom. So that everyone can see, truly see, that justice is administered fairly, individually, and discretely. It is for freedom's sake that your lawyers are striving so vigorously on your behalf, have filed appeals, will go on in their representation of you before other judges. We Americans are all about freedom. Because we all know that the way we treat you, Mr.. Reid, is the measure of our own liberties. Make no mistake though. It is yet true that we will bear any burden; pay any price, to preserve our freedoms. Look around this courtroom. Mark it well. The world is not going to long remember what you or I say here. The day after tomorrow, it will be forgotten, but this, however, will long endure. Here in this courtroom and courtrooms all across America , the American people will gather to see that justice, individua l justice, justice, not war, individual justice is in fact being done. The very President of the United States through his officers will have to come into courtrooms and lay out evidence on which specific matters can be judged and juries of citizens will gather to sit and judge that evidence democratically, to mold and shape and refin e our sense of justice. See that flag, Mr. Reid? That's the flag of the United S tates of America . That flag will fly there long after this is all forgotten. That flag stands for freedom. And it always will. Mr. Custody Officer. Stand him down. So, how much of this Judge's comments did we hear on our TV sets? We need more judges like Judge Young, but that's another subject. Pass this around. Everyone should and needs to hear what this fine judge had to say. Powerful words that strike home. God Bless America -
