I have had enough of radio and TV comedians going after the daughters of Governor Palin. It is out of bounds to suggest the rape or sexual conduct of her daughters or anyone else's daughter. I support Governor Palin when she says that "comedian David Letterman owes an apology to young women across the country for his joke about her daughter".
The Alaska governor appeared on NBC's Today show Friday, insisting that Letterman "apologize to young women" for a joke he made on the air about one of her teen-age daughters. Letterman admitted on his show that his wisecrack about a theoretical statutory rape of one of Palin's daughters was in bad taste, but didn't go further. Palin, the Republican vice presidential candidate last year, said Friday that isn't good enough. Letterman had joked that a Palin girl "was knocked up" by a player at a New York Yankees baseball game. He seemed to be referring to 18-year-old Bristol Palin, an unwed mother. But it was her 14-year-old sister Willow who was at the game with family members. Letterman and others go after the Governor's daughters because they see her as a threat on their issues such as guns and abortion. This is the same tactic that the Democrats have used in filing "ethic violation" charges. The Governor has beat all 14 ethic violations filed by liberal members of the Democrat Party. They want to derail Governor Palin for future national political offices. David Letterman should be fired for his attack on Governor Palin and his "degrading comment about a young woman". This type of comedy is NOT FUNNY. -
