The Republican Party has the support of the American people in repealing Obamacare. The newly elected Congress should target Obamacare in January 2011.
During the 2010 election, Obamacare quickly emerged as the first major issue of the congressional races. The American public does not want Obamacare, especially the way it was forced on the tax payers. The president (a socialist) says tweak it. We say scrap it and write a real health care bill that will benefit Americans and reduce medical costs. A USA Today-Gallup survey on the public's priorities for the new Congress listed "repealing health care law" one point behind cutting federal spending. In a Reuters-Ipsos poll on issues for Congress in 2011, 53 percent listed health care reform as "crucial" and 41 percent said it was "important." A pre-election Pew Research Center survey showed health care as the second-most-important issue to voters after the job situation. And a CBS News exit poll showed that 48 percent of those who voted said Obamacare should be repealed and just 16 percent thought it should be left alone. President Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid both said the law could be "tweaked," but they oppose any extensive reconstructive surgery. Mr. Obama oddly said he did not want to "relitigate" the issue, though the legal challenges to the law are just beginning. Future judicial rulings may eviscerate Obamacare and force the matter back to the legislature, but the new Congress should not wait for the courts to take action. Repeal it now. The most odious aspects of Obamacare are yet to hit. The law was crafted so that the harsh provisions would kick in after the election, a failed attempt to insulate Democrats from voter backlash. Obamacare is not only bad law, it is the symbol of a broken system. The legislation was slapped together hurriedly and without adequate staff - or lawmaker - review. It became a grab bag of regulations and loopholes favoring Democratic-leaning special interests. Republicans were unceremoniously shut out of the entire legislative process. The bill was forced through the Congress in a riot of arm-twisting and secretive backroom deals. Few if any members of Congress read the bill before they voted on it. The American people were denied the transparency and open process Mr. Obama had promised during his campaign. Obamacare was the poster child for everything wrong with the contemporary legislative process. It is the result of very liberal and socialist ideas from the far left Democrat party.. Some of the critical issues of Obamacare that people do not like are below: *The law does provide for rationing of health care *The law does provide for free health care for illegal immigrants *The law does provide for free abortion services *The law does eventually force private insurance companies out of business *The law does force everyone into a government run system *The law does force all medical decisions to be made by federal bureaucrats, not doctors *The law does restrict payments to physicians *The law does restrict medical devices that be controlled by the government *The law does create 20,000 new government workers to handle all of these decisions (for you) *The law does restrict any other affordable health care choices *The law does create many new taxes in order to pay for this massive take over by government *The law does force you to either accept the federal plan or pay a fine (tax) if you do not have medical insurance The Congress and the Executive Branch has no authority to regulate health care. The Constitution does not give then the power to regulate and force people into a government health care system. Individual personal data and financial information will be given to the federal regulator to manage your physician, medical options, and your hospital stays. Everyone's right to privacy will now be managed by a government employee. Are you ready for Obamacare? Do you want the Republicans to repeal this law? Voters in MD, CA, WA, and other liberal Democrat states seem like they want more government control. Go figure.... -

Do you know the history of Social Security? If not, this is a must read. Social security was designed to help the elderly live once they retired, but be the sole source of income. Social Security was supposed to be put in a "Lock Box" for retirement, but over the years Democrat politicians have entirely changed the Social Security system.
We are getting the same "bull, promises, lip-service, and lies" from the current Democrats in Congress concerning the health care law that they passed. Now that the bill has been passed, we are realizing what was in the bill.... Social Security Cards up until the 1980s expressly stated the number and card were not to be used for identification purposes. Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anyway and the message, NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION, was removed. An old Social Security card with the "NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION" was printed on the card. Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the SocialSecurity (FICA) Program. He promised: 1.) That participation in the Program would be Completely voluntary, No longer Voluntary 2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual Incomes into the Program, Now 7.65% on the first $90,000 3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year, No longer tax deductible 4.) That the money the participants put into the independent 'Trust Fund' rather than into the general operating fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program, and, Under Johnson the money was moved to The General Fund and Spent 5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income. Under Clinton & Gore Up to 85% of your Social Security can be Taxed Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month -- and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal government to 'put away' -- you may be interested in the following: ------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- ---- Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent 'Trust Fund' and put it into the general fund so that Congress could spend it? AND MY FAVORITE: A: That's right! Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party. Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! And the worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it! If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe changes will evolve. Maybe not, some Democrats are awfully sure of what isn't so. The current Democrats targeted George Bush on Social Security changes and issues, but now they want to raise the age of retirees. Every home owner should be "pissed-off" at Obama and the Democrats who helped pass ObamaCare.
Under the new health care bill - did you know that all real estate transactions are now subject to a 3.8% Sales Tax? The bulk of these new taxes don't kick in until 2013 (presumably after Obama's re-election bid). So funding Freddie and Fannie with billions of tax payer's dollars is not enough, we now have to fund health care for the masses. You can thank Nancy, Harry and Barack and your local Democrat Congressman for this new tax. If you sell your $400,000 home, there will be a $15,200 tax. I guess this is what Pelosi meant when she said, "We have to pass it so we know what is in it". Do you feel screwed yet by this "hope and change"? Give me George Bush any day to Obama and the Democrat controlled Congress. This bill is set to screw the retiring generation who often downsize their homes. Is this Hope & Change great or what? I guess we have to vote out this crowd so we can have elected officials who represent us--the American tax payer--and not the socialist crowd. Oh, you weren't aware this was in the Obamacare bill? Guess what, you aren't alone. There are more than a few congressman that aren't aware of it either. There are a many other surprises and taxes lurking in this health care bill that nobody read. Let's elect men and women who read bills and know what they are voting on before they vote. We need fiscal conservatives in Congress and a leader in the White House. -

Below are some REAL suggestions for health care reform. This is what the American people expect and deserve.
To create a system that delivers more choices of higher quality health care at lower cost we need to take the following six straightforward steps: Stop Paying the Crooks. First, we must dramatically reduce healthcare fraud within our current healthcare system. Outright fraud - criminal activity - accounts for as much as 10 percent of all healthcare spending. That is more than $200 billion every year. Medicare alone could account for as much as $40 billion a year. (Please visit HealthTransformation.net for the information about our latest CHT Press book, Stop Paying the Crooks, edited by Jim Frogue.) Move from a Paper-based to an Electronic Health System. As it stands now, it is simply impossible to keep up with fraud in a paper-based system. An electronic system would free tens of billions of dollars to be spent on investing on the kind of modern system that will transform healthcare. In addition, it would dramatically increase our ability to eliminate costly medical errors and to accelerate the adoption of new solutions and breakthroughs. Tax Reform. The savings realized through very deliberately and very systematically eliminating fraud could be used to provide tax incentives and vouchers that would help cover those Americans who currently can't afford coverage. In addition, we need to expand tax incentives for insurance provided by small employers and the self-employed. Finally, elimination of capital gains taxes for investments in health-solution companies can greatly impact the creation advancement of new solutions that create better health at lower cost. Create a Health-Based Health System. In essence, we must create a system that focuses on improving individual health. The best way to accomplish this is to find out what solutions are actually working today that save lives and save money and then design public policy to encourage their widespread adoption. For example, according to the Dartmouth Health Atlas, if the 6,000 hospitals in the country provided the same standard of care of the Intermountain or Mayo health clinics, Medicare alone would save 30 percent of total spending every year. We need to make best practices the minimum practice. We need the federal government and other healthcare stakeholders to consistently migrate to best practices that ensure quality, safety and better outcomes. Reform Our Health Justice System. Currently, the U.S. civil justice system is the most expensive in the world-about double the average cost in virtually every other industrialized nation. But for all of the money spent, our civil justice system neither effectively compensates persons injured from medical negligence nor encourages the elimination of medical errors. Because physicians fear malpractice suits, defensive medicine (redundant, wasteful treatment designed to avoid lawsuits, not treat the patient) has become pervasive. CHT is developing a number of bold health-justice reforms including a "safe harbor" for physicians who followed clinical best practices in the treatment of a patient. The Obama Administration is making the wrong decision by siding with the unions and telling car dealership owners that they no longer have a contract and to take a hike. The administration is causing unemployment and is causing havoc in the free market place. Stop protecting the unions and start protecting the owners who create jobs.
Letter from a Dodge dealer My name is George C. Joseph. I am the sole owner of Sunshine Dodge-Isuzu, a family owned and operated business in Melbourne, Florida. My family bought and paid for this automobile fran chise 35 years ago in 1974. I am the second generation to manage this business. We currently employ 50+ people and before the economic slowdown we employed over 70 local people. We are active in the community and the local chamber of commerce. We deal with several dozen local vendors on a day to day basis and many more during a month. All depend on our business for part of their livelihood. We are financially strong with great respect in the market place and community. We have strong local presence and stability. I work every day the store is open, nine to ten hours a day. I know most of our customers and all our employees. Sunshine Dodge is my life. On Thursday, May 14, 2009 I was notified that my Dodge franchise, that we purchased, will be taken away from my family on June 9, 2009 without compensation and given to another dealer at no cost to them. My new vehicle inventory consists of 125 vehicles with a financed balance of 3 million dollars. This inventory becomes impossible to sell with no factory incentives beyond June 9, 2009. Without the Dodge franchise we can no longer sell a new Dodge as "new," nor will we be able to do any warranty service work. Additionally, my Dodge parts inventory, (approximately $300,000.) is virtually worthless without the ability to perform warranty service. There is no offer from Chrysler to buy back the vehicles or parts inventory. Our facility was recently totally renovated at Chrysler's insistence, incurring a multi-m illion dollar debt in the form of a mortgage at Sun Trust Bank. HOW IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA CAN THIS HAPPEN? THIS IS A PRIVATE BUSINESS NOT A GOVERNMENT ENTITY. This is beyond imagination! My business is being stolen from me through NO FAULT OF OUR OWN. We did NOTHING wrong. This atrocity will most likely force my family into bankruptcy. This will also cause our 50+ employees to be unemployed. How will they provide for their families? The US Congress is destroying US jobs and creating debt for all American citizens for years to come with the Card Check, Protect the Unions legislation.
The Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) does more than effectively eliminate workers' rights to a secret ballot vote on joining a union. Section 3 of EFCA gives government officials the power to impose contracts on workers and firms. Government bureaucrats would set compensation and make most major business decisions at newly unionized companies. The bureaucrats writing these proposals would have no expertise in the company's operations or business model and would be unaccountable if their decisions drove the company into bankruptcy. Workers would lose all say over working conditions. EFCA would effectively create government-run workplaces. This legislation will effectively eliminate millions of jobs and stop companies from expanding their businesses. This will cause inflated prices for services and cost of goods. This will provide the political engine for the unions and will silence small business. Mutual consent and good faith negotiating will be a thing of the past. Employers will be forced to accept unions when they do not want a union. A formal method of a secret ballot and individual rights will be eliminated. Our constitutional rights are challenged due to the pay-off to the unions for supporting the Democrat Party. This government-imposed arbitration radically departs from the foundation of the collective bargaining process: the principle of mutual consent. In place of the agreement of both parties, government arbitrators would simply impose working conditions on both employers and employees, whether such conditions are workable or not. Our federal government is imposing on our rights and will lead the US to socialism. -
