Three individuals who have been in politics for a long time are under arrest or ethics probe. Congressman Rangel, Congresswoman Waters, and local County Executive Johnson are accused of bribes and unethical behavior. The longer politicians are in power, the more they are removed from the citizens they represent. They feel like they are entitled and the law does not apply to them.
A House panel has set a Monday morning date to hear the ethics case against New York Democratic Rep. Charles B. Rangel, former chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee and long one of the most influential black lawmakers in Congress. The Committee on Standards of Official Conduct will come on the first day lawmakers arrive back in Washington to begin the lame-duck legislative session following the November mid-term elections. Mr. Rangel, who easily won re-election in his Harlem district to a 21st term Nov. 2, has insisted he is innocent of the charges and has rejected offers to settle the charges.
The ethics case — and one still pending against another top black Democratic lawmaker, Rep. Maxine Waters of California — proved an embarrassment to the party in an election where congressional Democrats suffered heavy losses. Committee Chairwoman Rep. Zoe Lofgren, California Democrat, announced last month that hearings into the two cases would be held during the lame-duck session.
Mr. Rangel, who recently fired the attorneys representing him and could defend himself at Monday's hearing, is accused of 13 violations of congressional ethics, including failing to disclose at least $600,000 in assets and income in a series of inaccurate financial-disclosure reports to Congress and using a rent-subsidized New York apartment for a campaign office, when it was designated for residential use. Now he is accused of using campaign funds to pay his lawyers, which is a violation of law.
Mrs. Waters' case, relating to charges she improperly aided a bank with ties to her husband, is tentatively scheduled to start Nov. 29. She lobbied to provide tax payer funding to the bank so it would not default.
Prince George's County Executive Jack Johnson, arrested in a corruption probe Friday, told his wife to hide tens of thousands of dollars in her underwear as federal agents arrived at his house to search for illegal payoffs from a developer, federal prosecutors have charged.
Caught in an FBI sting taking a $15,000 payment from an unnamed developer Friday, Mr. Johnson later told his wife by telephone not to answer the door when two FBI agents came to their home, authorities said. The county executive, a Democrat who was previously the county's top prosecutor, then told his wife, Leslie Johnson, to tear up a $100,000 check from the developer and stash tens of thousands of dollars in cash in her bra, authorities said in charging documents.
"Tear it up! That is the only thing you have to do," Mr. Johnson told his wife, referring to the check, according to prosecutors. Asked by his wife about "cash down in the basement," the documents say Mr. Johnson replied, "Put it in your bra and walk out or something, I don't know what to do." Later, Mr. Johnson told his wife to flush the check down the toilet, according to documents.
Term limits are the only way to rid the political system of career politicians. These politicians rig the voting districts to stay in power, create large retirements and benefits for themselves, and use other people's money for their own social agendas. It is time to clean house and put limits on all elected officials so they work for us, not we work for them.

Democrats in Maryland fund CASA of Maryland to register illegal immigrants to vote and support them. They are just like ACORN. These liberal get-out-the-vote organizations are a threat to our democracy and our free-market system. The US Department of Justice must form a special unit to go after these organizations. Why do Democrats and black or Hispanic elected officials vote against a picture ID requirement to vote? Why do they not want proper documents verifying the person is who they say they are? Why do they want liberal voting laws and procedures?

Is Arlen Specter more concerned about his own political career or the citizens of PA? Does he have any political standards for himself or his party? Why would he accept assistance from the labor unions? Does Senator Specter think that he is in trouble with his Republican Party?
Angling for a critical Senate swing vote to pass the "card check" bill that would make it easier to form unions, Pennsylvania labor leaders promised Sen. Arlen Specter that they will switch union members from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party to help him win a tough 2010 primary election, The Washington Times has learned.
Pennsylvania AFL-CIO President William M. George said he pledged Mr. Specter "all kinds of help from the union" in a series of meetings to woo the Republican senator's support for the bill, which would ease rules favoring secret-ballot elections to unionize workplaces.
"We are pushing to give him help in the primary, including changing Democrats to Republicans for the primary," Mr. George told The Times. "It's hard to do because of other races in the state ... but we'll do it for 'card check.' "
The legislation is a top priority for labor leaders now that they have a Democratic ally in the White House ready to sign it into law, and the bargaining with voter registration in Pennsylvania shows how far the unions will go to secure victory.
Pennsylvania persists as a union stronghold with 1.4 million union members and union retirees, accounting for more than 10 percent of the population and one-third of households. About 73 percent of the bloc are registered Democrats, according to the state AFL-CIO.
Mr. Specter's has declined to comment specifically on the union's promise. Card Check is bad for our workers, our economy and our nation. This Socialist style approach to unions will give them power over goods and services; thus, raise prices on everything.

The American tax payer has the opportunity to correct what the Obama administration has accomplished in turning our nation into a socialist country. We are not going to take it any more. We do not want big government to run our lives. Below are my ideas of what the new Republican Congress should do to stop all actions by the Obama administration. Obama has been a failure in promoting our nation, creating jobs, and securing our nation.
Republicans have this one opportunity to regain the trust of the American people.
After Election—GOP Priorities
1. Repeal all Obama, Reed, & Pelosi legislative actions
2. Repeal all Obama executive directives and policies (i.e. EPA restrictions)
3. Overhaul our entire voting system to ensure only legal US citizens vote (only once, picture ID, transparency, & military votes are counted)
4. Cut all federal spending by 10% and all foreign aid by 25%
5. Cut taxes, AMT, and other regressive fees and taxes for families & businesses
6. Stop raising the debt limit and balance the budget (except in declared war)
7. Overhaul Social Security (fence the money-don’t put in general fund)
8. Overhaul Fannie and Freddie, and the housing mortgage industry
9. Secure our borders, stop all services and jobs for illegals and anchor babies
10. Put God and Country back into our national focus (no political correctness)
11. Stop putting liberal judges on the bench to degrade our Constitution and laws
12. Term limits for members of Congress, no retirement, cut staff budgets in half
Vote Republican and send a message to Obama--we do not share his Hope and certainly not his Change....

Recently, Ken Cuccinelli won as Attorney General for Virginia. Congrats to Ken and the entire team of "conservative" Republicans. We see this team as the model for the rest of the nation. US citizens must be very afraid of the current administration and its socialist and Marist policies and ideas.
Our nation is founded on Christian beliefs, individualism, and a restricted federal government. States must start challenging the federal government when it comes to bad policies and unfunded mandates for their citizens. Look at the states that are run by Democrats and the states that are run by Republicans. Which states have a poor economy, more welfare, more unions, and more social problems? Typical examples of states that are bankrupt because of liberal Democrats are CA and MI.
Ken has stated that he will challenge the federal government, "If they're worried that I'm going to sue the federal government, their worry is well-placed. If we see an overreaching bill like card check, the president's signature won't be the last fight on that bill."
This is good new for all Virginia and US citizens since the federal government is now spending beyond its means and creates energy, economic, healthcare, citizenship, and other policies or laws that are harmful to all American citizens. The US Congress and the President need a wake-up call and all American citizens must demand that elected officials live up to their oath of office.

Montgomery County is tax-hungry again. This time they want to charge $800 for an individuals who has to use an ambulance. The Democrat elected County Executive will spend millions on illegal immigrants programs, yet wants to charge citizens for emergency services.

What are real metrics and not just "puff"? The goal of this administration is ANMESTY for 20 million illegals.
What should be measured:
1. Number of illegals that get across the border
2. Number of human traffickers
3. Number of drug runners
4. Amount of drugs coming across the border
5. Number of local and state agencies assisting under 287 (g)
6. Number of Day Labor Centers across America
7. Number of Consular offices opened by Mexico and other Central/South American countries
8. Number of country origins of illeglas arrested
9. Correct number of miles of fence that are built to specification
10. Number of actual agents on the border
11. Number of cameras, UAVs, and sensors on the border
12. Coordination with ICE on arresting illegals and business owners who give them jobs
Napolitano pronounces US border more secure now
By SUZANNE GAMBOA (AP)
WASHINGTON — The Obama administration has met many of the border
security benchmarks Congress set in 2007 as a prerequisite to
immigration reform and now it's time to change the law, Homeland
Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Friday.
Napolitano, designated by President Barack Obama to lead the
administration's immigration reform efforts, said many members of
Congress had said they could support immigration reform, but only after
border security improved, Napolitano said.
"Fast forward to today, and many of the benchmarks these members of
Congress set in 2007 have been met," she said in a speech to the Center
for American Progress, a liberal think tank.
She cited construction of 600 miles of border fence and the hiring of
more than 20,000 Border Patrol agents. Illegal immigration has also
fallen sharply because of better enforcement and the economy.
"I've been dealing hands-on with immigration issues since 1993, so
trust me: I know a major shift when I see one, and what I have seen
makes reform far more attainable this time around," Napolitano said.
Congress passed tough immigration enforcement legislation in 2006 that
called for building 700 miles of border fences and barriers. Immigration
critics have said the fence has not been built with double layers as the
law required and is not all fencing.
"How can they claim that enforcement is 'done' when there are more than
400 open miles of border with Mexico, hundreds of thousands of criminal
and fugitive aliens and millions of illegal immigrants taking American
jobs?" said Rep. Lamar Smith of Texas, the top Republican on the House
Judiciary Committee, which oversees immigration and border issues.
Napolitano said the immigration and border security improvements are
not enough. "The laws themselves need to be reformed," she said.
Obama has repeatedly said immigration reform is a priority, although it
has been pushed further down the list as he has taken on the economy and
health care reform.
Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., has said he would introduce legislation
by early next year. New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez, who heads the Senate
Democrats' campaign arm, has said immigration reform must be done by
March or it won't be taken up until after the 2010 elections.

I'm an older American adult. I've worked since I was 9 on our farm and general country store. I am retired from the US Army and have owned businesses. I believe our country is heading for socialism under the current administration and I am tired of the actions of the US Congress and Obama.
I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic and do not want to work and be responsible for themselves.
I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it. The Bush tax cuts will stop and new Obama taxes will be implemented.
I'm tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to "keep people in their homes." Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I'm willing to help. But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them with their own money.
I'm tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood Entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years,if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of Zimbabwe , the freedom of the press of China , the crime and violence of Mexico, the tolerance for Christian people of Iran, and the freedom of speech of Venezuela.
I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.
I'm tired of being told that "race doesn't matter" in the post-racial world of Obama, when it's all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of U.S. Senators from Illinois.
I think it's very cool that we have a black president and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and not a bigger socialist type of government.
I'm tired of a news media that thinks Bush's fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that think Obama's, at triple the cost, were wonderful; that thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress; that picked over every line of Bush's military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his; that slammed Palin, with two years as governor, for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama with three years as senator as potentially the best president ever. Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News?
I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and mandrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America , while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.
I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate.
I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? I don't think Gay people choose to be Gay, but I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I'm tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.
I'm tired of illegal aliens being called "undocumented workers," especially the ones who aren't working, but are living on welfare or crime. What's next? Calling drug dealers, "Undocumented Pharmacists"? And, no, I'm not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic, and it's been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion. We want people to enter the US legally and who can speak English, don't have a criminal record and who are self-supporting without yjeir family on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military.... Those are the citizens we need.
I'm tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement-handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military. They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people than themselves. Do bad things happen in war? You bet. Do our troops sometimes misbehave? Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years and still are? Not even close. So here's the deal. I'll let myself be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject to captivity by the Muslims, who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we'll compare notes. British and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.
I'm tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on corruption. Read the papers; bums are bipartisan. And I'm tired of people telling me we need bipartisanship. I live in Illinois , where the "Illinois Combine" of Democrats has worked to loot the public for years. Not to mention the tax cheats in Obama's cabinet. I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.
Speaking of poor, I'm tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn't have that in 1970, but we didn't know we were "poor." The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing. I'm real tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.
Finally, I am tired of politicians who are self-serving and make a career out of political office. The ones who are spending money we do not have and borrow it from China, who cannot make decisions for the benefit of the nation, and the ones who do not enforce the law.
I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic and do not want to work and be responsible for themselves.

Below is an article in the Washington Times on how the ACLU and Open-Border Mexican groups target American citizens who try to protect their property against illegal immigrants. The US Department of Justice and Homeland Security are not protecting Americans against the invasion of millions of illegals. Why?
16 illegals sue Arizona rancher
Jerry Seper (Contact)
An Arizona man who has waged a 10-year campaign to stop a flood of illegal immigrants from crossing his property is being sued by 16 Mexican nationals who accuse him of conspiring to violate their civil rights when he stopped them at gunpoint on his ranch on the U.S.-Mexico border.
Roger Barnett, 64, began rounding up illegal immigrants in 1998 and turning them over to the U.S. Border Patrol, he said, after they destroyed his property, killed his calves and broke into his home.
His Cross Rail Ranch near Douglas, Ariz., is known by federal and county law enforcement authorities as "the avenue of choice" for immigrants seeking to enter the United States illegally.
Trial continues Monday in the federal lawsuit, which seeks $32 million in actual and punitive damages for civil rights violations, the infliction of emotional distress and other crimes. Also named are Mr. Barnett's wife, Barbara, his brother, Donald, and Larry Dever, sheriff in Cochise County, Ariz., where the Barnetts live. The civil trial is expected to continue until Friday.
The lawsuit is based on a March 7, 2004, incident in a dry wash on the 22,000-acre ranch, when he approached a group of illegal immigrants while carrying a gun and accompanied by a large dog.
Attorneys for the immigrants - five women and 11 men who were trying to cross illegally into the United States - have accused Mr. Barnett of holding the group captive at gunpoint, threatening to turn his dog loose on them and saying he would shoot anyone who tried to escape.
The immigrants are represented at trial by the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), which also charged that Sheriff Dever did nothing to prevent Mr. Barnett from holding their clients at "gunpoint, yelling obscenities at them and kicking one of the women."
In the lawsuit, MALDEF said Mr. Barnett approached the group as the immigrants moved through his property, and that he was carrying a pistol and threatening them in English and Spanish. At one point, it said, Mr. Barnett's dog barked at several of the women and he yelled at them in Spanish, "My dog is hungry and he's hungry for buttocks."
The lawsuit said he then called his wife and two Border Patrol agents arrived at the site. It also said Mr. Barnett acknowledged that he had turned over 12,000 illegal immigrants to the Border Patrol since 1998.
In March, U.S. District Judge John Roll rejected a motion by Mr. Barnett to have the charges dropped, ruling there was sufficient evidence to allow the matter to be presented to a jury. Mr. Barnett's attorney, David Hardy, had argued that illegal immigrants did not have the same rights as U.S. citizens.
Mr. Barnett told The Washington Times in a 2002 interview that he began rounding up illegal immigrants after they started to vandalize his property, northeast of Douglas along Arizona Highway 80. He said the immigrants tore up water pumps, killed calves, destroyed fences and gates, stole trucks and broke into his home.

Wherever you stand, please take the time to read this; it ought to scare the beejeebers out of you! We know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that context, his thoughts are particularly poignant. Last week there was an immigration overpopulation conference in Washington, DC, filled to capacity by many of America's finest minds and leaders. A brilliant
college professor by the name of Victor Davis Hansen talked about his latest book, "Mexifornia," explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal was destroying the entire state of California. He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

We, tax paying citizens are angry at the liberal elected officials who have no fiscal responsibility and are leading our country to socialism--the Obama way.
Millions of hard-working American citizens who pay their bills, send in their income taxes, maintain their homes and repay their mortgage loans see their federal and state governments reward those who do not or who are not legal US citizens.
It is the anger of small town and Middle American folks who have never been to Manhattan, who put their savings in a community bank and borrow from a local credit union, who watch Washington lawmakers and presidents of both parties hand billions in taxpayer bailouts to the reckless Wall Street titans who brought down the economy in 2008.
It is the fury of the voiceless, the powerless, the ordinary nobodies of Flyover Country who are ridiculed, preached to, satirized and insulted by the Celebrity Loudmouths of the two Left Coasts, the Jon Stewarts and Keith Olbermanns, the Paul Krugmans and their ilk. Even President Obama has said that the Tea Party individuals are just right-wing nuts.
The Democrats in Congress are not listening to the average American tax payer. They are willfully ignoring public opinion and the verdict of recent elections in passing a huge new health care entitlement when the existing entitlements of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are already going broke. Now, they are talking about a VAT to pay for all of their reckless policies. More taxes and more federal government control.
We feel frustrated and helpless as we watch politicians and the courts stretch and bend the Constitution -- finding "rights" not enumerated, powers never granted, meanings unimagined -- believe that their country is being redefined without their consent.
Most of us who are "the angry" are not out marching in the streets, waving signs or shouting into bullhorns. We are not smashing windows or phoning death threats to politicians. We are simply waking up angry in the morning, and going to bed angry at night. We are waiting for the November elections to make the necessary changes in Congress and in state elections.
We are tired of being told we are too stupid to understand the country's complex problems, too rooted in the past to find solutions, too selfish to share what we have worked for with everyone else who wants it. We are tired of politicians who take our money and our rights, while buying off voters with our money.
We are angry and we are not going to take the liberal socialist policies any more!

Arizona considers tougher immigration laws to combat what weak-minded politicians in Washington, DC do not want to do. Also, it took the ex-governor of Arizona to leave the state so this policy could be promoted. As America's busiest immigrant-smuggling hub, Arizona has earned the distinction as a place that's tough on people who sneak across the border.
Under Arizona's proposed trespassing provision, a first offense would be a top-tier misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail. Subsequent violations would be a felony that could carry a penalty of up to 2 1/2 years in prison.
The proposal, which has cleared the state Senate and is being considered by the House, would require police to try to determine people's immigration status when they have reasonable suspicions that a person doesn't have legal status.
And, if approved, Arizona would become the only state to criminalize the presence of illegal immigrants through an expansion of its trespassing law. Immigrant rights advocates predict it would lead to racial profiling that would target thousands of Hispanics who are U.S. citizens, but this just totally false.
Some local politicians "don't have the courage to stand up for their citizens," said state Sen. Russell Pearce of Mesa, the bill's sponsor. The measure cleared the Senate on a 16-12 vote on June 15 and is being considered by the House. The proposed trespassing provision is similar to proposals vetoed in 2006 by then-Gov. Janet Napolitano, who said she opposed turning all immigrants who sneaked into the state into criminals.
Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas, whose office helped draft the bill, said even though the federal government has the authority to regulate immigration, states have broad police powers that allow them to contribute to the fight against illegal immigration. "The argument that the states can't do anything to combat illegal immigration is just wrong," Mr. Thomas said.
The federal government should allow states to control the issue since they (federal elected officials) do NOT want to enfore the law, which is in our national interest.

The auto bailout by the Democrats is a “pay-back” for the unions. For example, GM has 150,000 workers supporting 650,000 retirees. This is the same problem with the Social Security System—too few supporting too many.
Half of the $50 billion the auto industry wants is for health care for its current and retired employees. The cost of health care and retired benefits, along with increased union wages account for $1,600 per vehicle. This cost has to be passed on to the consumer.

The below is important to read so you understand why AZ wants to stop illegal immigration, gangs, drug runners, etc.
"I want to explain why SB 1070 is needed"
http://tinyurl.com/24vbex2
I’m Arizona State Senator Sylvia Allen. I want to explain SB 1070 which I voted for and was just signed by Governor Jan Brewer. Rancher Rob Krentz was murdered by the drug cartel on his ranch a month ago. I participated in a senate hearing two weeks ago on the border violence, here is just some of the highlights from those who testified.
The people who live within 60 to 80 miles of the Arizona/Mexico Border have for years been terrorized and have pleaded for help to stop the daily invasion of humans who cross their property . One Rancher testified that 300 to 1200 people a DAY come across his ranch vandalizing his property, stealing his vehicles and property, cutting down his fences, and leaving trash. In the last two years he has found 17 dead bodies and two Koran bibles.
Another rancher testified that daily drugs are brought across his ranch in a military operation. A point man with a machine gun goes in front, 1/2 mile behind are the guards fully armed, 1/2 mile behind them are the drugs, behind the drugs 1/2 mile are more guards. These people are violent and they will kill anyone who gets in the way. This was not the only rancher we heard that day that talked about the drug trains.
One man told of two illegal’s who came upon his property one shot in the back and the other in the arm by the drug runners who had forced them to carry the drugs and then shot them. Daily they listen to gun fire during the night it is not safe to leave his family alone on the ranch and they can’t leave the ranch for fear of nothing being left when they come back.
The border patrol is not on the border. They have set up 60 miles away with check points that do nothing to stop the invasion. They are not allowed to use force in stopping anyone who is entering. They run around chasing them, if they get their hands on them then they can take them back across the border.
Federal prisons have over 35% illegal’s and 20% of Arizona prisons are filled with illegal’s. In the last few years 80% of our law enforcement that have been killed or wounded have been by an illegal.
The majority of people coming now are people we need to be worried about. The ranchers told us that they have seen a change in the people coming they are not just those who are looking for work and a better life.
The Federal Government has refused for years to do anything to help the border states. We have been over run and once they are here we have the burden of funding state services that they use. Education cost have been over a billion dollars. The healthcare cost billions of dollars. Our State is broke, $3.5 billion deficit and we have many serious decisions to make. One is that we do not have the money to care for any who are not here legally. It has to stop. The border can be secured. We have the technology we have the ability to stop this invasion. We must know who is coming and they must come in an organized manner legally so that we can assimilate them into our population and protect the sovereignty of our country. We are a nation of laws. We have a responsibility to protect our citizens and to protect the integrity of our country and the government which we live under.
I would give amnesty today to many, but here is the problem, we dare not do this until the Border is secure. It will do no good to forgive them because thousands will come behind them and we will be over run to the point that there will no longer be the United States of America but a North American Union of open borders. I ask you what form of government will we live under? How long will it be before we will be just like Mexico, Canada or any of the other Central American or South American countries? We have already lost our language, everything must be printed in Spanish also. We have already lost our history it is no longer taught in our schools. And we have lost our borders.
The leftist media has distorted what SB 1070 will do. It is not going to set up a Nazi Germany. Are you kidding. The ACLU and the leftist courts will do everything to protect those who are here illegally, but it was an effort to try and stop illegal’s from setting up businesses, and employment, and receiving state services and give the ability to local law enforcement when there is probable cause like a traffic stop to determine if they are here legally. Federal law is very clear if you are here on a visa you must have your papers on you at all times. That is the law. In Arizona all you need to show you are a legal citizen is a driver license, MVD identification card, Native American Card, or a Military ID. This is what you need to vote, get a hunting license, etc.. So nothing new has been added to this law. No one is going to be stopped walking down the street etc… The Socialist who are in power in DC are angry because we dare try and do something and that something the Socialist wants us to do is just let them come. They want the “Transformation” to continue.
Maybe it is too late to save America. Maybe we are not worthy of freedom anymore. But as an elected official I must try to do what I can to protect our Constitutional Republic. Living in America is not a right just because you can walk across the border. Being an American is a responsibility and it comes by respecting and upholding the Constitution the law of our land which says what you must do to be a citizen of this country. Freedom is not free.
Respectfully,
Sylvia Allen

Why did the voters of AZ return John McCain to the US Senate? Don't they know that he radically changed his position on illegal immigration just for the Primary election?
What is any good conservative and Tea Party patriot to think about Arizona voters after they have just returned John McCain to office? This is the state that leads the country with immigration enforcement efforts and then turns around and sends a pro-amnesty senator back to D.C. Do conservatives still want the status quo? Excuse me if I am confused about this election.
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) spent more than $20 million on his way to victory over primary rival J.D. Hayworth (R). McCain captured 59 percent of the vote Tuesday to 29 for Hayworth. Navy veteran Jim Deakin took 11 percent. Arizona voters fight illegal immigration by supporting Gov. Brewer and their legislature's ground breaking law on the one hand, but on the other they return the biggest amnesty seeking senator to DC. What are they thinking? Are the voters stupid or what?
To shore up his right flank, McCain drifted away from some of the issues he championed years ago. He gave a muted response to the recent Supreme Court decision that lifted restrictions he helped pass on campaign spending. He also stopped pushing for immigration reform and instead touted his support for increased security along the border -- including a fence he once opposed. Did he flip-flop? Will he go back to his old habits?
Once John McCain is re-elected to the US Senate, the voters of AZ will discover that he is like Obama--say one thing to get elected and then do the opposite. Sorry JD...I hope you run again and represent the citizens of AZ on all of their priority issues. Again, this election is a reason for term limits.

The U.S. tax payer should not bail out the EU or Greece. The American tax payer is borrowing money from Communists and giving it to Socialists. Go figure. We have enough problems with our "new socialist" Democrat Congress and President who are spending beyond belief. We must demand that we know what the Feds are doing in this area.
House Republicans introduced legislation last week to prohibit U.S. taxpayer funds from being used to bail out a teetering European economy, especially upside-down Greece. "If the Obama administration has its way, the U.S. will contribute to a nearly trillion-dollar bailout of European countries with economic crises that are a direct result of wasteful government spending," said Rep. Mike Pence, the House Republican Conference chairman from Indiana. The congressman is right. President Obama should focus on U.S. economic troubles instead of throwing our cash down a European rathole.
As things stand, the U.S. government is giving $30 billion in subsidized loans to Canadian banks, and the Obama administration has begun bailing out banks from Japan to Europe. The administration won't say how much money is being doled out and who is getting it. Given American anger about bailing out our own banks, there's sure to be a strong political backlash when taxpayers learn their money is being shipped off to foreign banks.
The new policy mirrors what the Federal Reserve did last year when it gave loans to U.S. banks at nearly zero percent interest. The banks turned around and used these government loans to lend money back to the federal government through the purchase of U.S. Treasury bonds, on which the banks received higher interest rates. Extending this practice to foreign banks is an outright gift to foreign shareholders.
Why the United States should subsidize foreign banks and their shareholders is a mystery. Compared to the U.S. economic crisis, many of these economies have done fairly well. Since Mr. Obama became president, U.S. unemployment has risen from 7.7 percent to 9.9 percent.
A second smaller part of the bailout comes from a $54 billion International Monetary Fund loan to Greece and other European countries. Again, it's a mystery exactly how much of this loan will be the responsibility of the United States, but the number is likely to be at least $10 billion, since America typically contributes 17 percent of the IMF budget.
Subsidizing Greece doesn't make any more sense. The Greek government possesses valuable assets such as land and corporate stock it can sell off to pay its debts. Instead, Athens is sitting on odd investments such as casinos, banks, jumbo jets and even a lucrative sports-betting organization. Greeks may not want to let go of those assets, but there's no reason American taxpayers should fork over dollars to subsidize Greek nationalistic pride. This is particularly the case given that the Greek government spends 44 percent of gross domestic product, which is too much. American taxpayers shouldn't feel sorry for a country that holds out a tin cup while refusing to cut government spending.
The Republicans in Congress must try to stop Obama from spending our money on bailing out socialists around the world.

Balance of Power---Democrat Style....
Chris Van Hollen and other Democrats do not belief in the balance of power between the three branches of government. They also believe that voters do not have the right to run ads against career politicans. They try to rig elections any way they can--from legislation, using ACORN, CASA de Maryland, unions or the Black Panthers, to redistricting, or any other means to stay in power. They do not believe in individual rights or the power of the people to voice their opinion.
Top Democrats said Thursday they will try to undercut last month's Supreme Court campaign-finance ruling by forcing corporations and unions that want to run political ads to register separate spending accounts, make them disclose how they got money for the ads and guarantee politicians low rates to respond with their own broadcast ads.
Rep. Chris Van Hollen, Maryland Democrat, and Sen. Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat, also said they're working on a tight deadline and want a bill passed in time to prevent free-wheeling spending from swamping this year's congressional elections.
"Unlike most bills that are introduced in Congress, this one has a deadline for action," said Mr. Schumer, who party leaders tasked to write a bill with Mr. Van Hollen. "If we don't act quickly, the court's ruling will have an immediate and disastrous impact on the 2010 elections."
What does this statement mean? By disastrous impact, does Van Hollen mean that Democrats will lose elections because the American citizens can publish ads telling the truth?
The two lawmakers said corporations, unions and nonprofit groups that want to pay for broadcast political ads should have to register a separate account with the Federal Election Commission to receive funds and pay for ads. All contributions and expenditures to and from the funds would have to be reported.
Some corporations would be banned outright from running ads, including ones in which foreigners have 20 percent ownership or are otherwise demonstrably in control, and any corporations that are taking Wall Street bailout money or receive government contracts. That ban would cover many major technology, defense, communications and scientific research firms.
Is Van Hollen and other Democrats resorting to Soviet and Iranian style politics?
Cleta Mitchell, a campaign-finance lawyer active in conservative causes, said there are problems with the direction the Democrats are headed. She said the Supreme Court has already struck down campaign-finance laws that granted politicians lower ad rates, and she said a blanket ban on federal contractors could run afoul of free-speech protections. "I don't think they could keep somebody from using their own separate money," she said.
In last month's 5-4 ruling in Citizens United v. FEC, the Supreme Court held that corporations and unions were entitled to First Amendment protections for political speech. The court held that corporations and unions should not have to form political action committees subject to strict rules, but instead should be free to run political ads paid for from their own general funds. They are still banned from contributing directly to political campaigns.
We need free speech and transparency--not career and corrupt politicians telling us what to do.

The oil spill in the Gulf must be closed by bombing the drilling holes. This makes sense in order to stop the flow of oil into the waters of the Gulf. However, BP does not want to do this since it will cost them hundreds of millions of dollars and they will never get back to this oil location and not recovering their investment.
BP has not acted in a responsible manner and our government must take the necessary actions to stop the flow of oil, no matter the cost. Stop the flow now.

Again, we have an American citizen and federal border agent killed by an illegal alien. Our southern border is as dangerous as the Iraq-Iran border. We must have Mexican and US troops on the border along with the double fence authorized by the US Congress.
FBI Special Agent Keith Slotter said Friday investigators are checking hospitals and other medical facilities in hopes of tracking down the suspect or suspects who killed agent Robert Wilmer Rosas late Thursday after he responded to a Border Patrol call near Campo, a remote area of San Diego County.
The agent was killed by drug smugglers who are illegal immigrants trying to cross the border. "I am deeply saddened by the tragic death of one of our own," said Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. The Secretary has weakened the enforcement of the CBP since she took over the Department of Homeland Security. Ms. Napolitano said she had directed the department to use its full resources to aid in the murder investigation.
The agent spotted a suspicious group of people Thursday night in the Campo area near the Mexican border and called for additional agents to help track them, U.S. Border Patrol spokesman Daryl Reed said. When the suspicious group split up, the agent followed some of the suspects on his own, Mr. Reed said.
Other agents lost radio contact with him shortly after 9 p.m. then heard gunshots. They found Mr. Rosas, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department said he was shot in the head.
The president of the union representing 17,000 Border Patrol agents declined to discuss the details of the shooting but said his organization has long been concerned about staffing levels and situations in which agents work alone in the field. He said such situations are not uncommon, even in the roughly 60 miles of border covered by the San Diego sector. "It's fairly common for our agents throughout San Diego County and the rest of the country to work without a partner," said T.J. Bonner, president of the National Border Patrol Council. "They each have separate vehicles, and it's a matter of concern with us."
The Border Patrol said the agent was 30 and was a three-year veteran who is survived by his wife, a 2-year-old son and an 11-month-old daughter. Our support goes out to his family.
We can use high-tech geospatial solutions to assist the border agents and help prevent deaths due to illegal aliens.
